Item Notes: Name: Hansa Pils
Type: Lager - Pilsner
ABV (Alcohol by volume): 4.8%
Country of origin: Germany
Introduced:
Hansa Pilsner has a clear, golden colour and not a lot of foam covering it. This is both an advantage and a disadvantage, since a foam covering gets in the way of drinking the beer, yet keeps it fresh longer. Doesn't really matter though, since a Hansa beer never stays in the glass long enough to flatten. The first taste is crisp and nice, yet someone might call it bitter. Hansa's hoppy taste fades and then leaves barley to shine. The brilliant thing about Hansa Pilsner is that it tastes even better when it's near room temperature. When you cool a fluid down towards 4 degrees, which is fridge temperature, you also kill off a lot of the taste. At room temperature the brew doesn't chill and sedate your taste buds and you really get a full feel for the beer."
