Type: Lager ABV (Alcohol by volume): 5% Country of origin: Leuven, Belgium Introduced: 1926 Stella Artois was first brewed as a Christmas beer in Leuven. It was named Stella, from the star of Christmas, and Artois after Sebastian Artois, founder of the brewery. It's brewed to perfection using the original Stella Artois yeast and the celebrated Saaz hops. It's the optimum lager, with its full flavor and clean crisp taste. It is still brewed using only natural ingredients, with the same process of mixing and fermentation as the old days. This guarantees that the beer you drink is something we're be proud of. No matter where in the world you are, you can count on a great experience every time you order a Stella Artois. The beautiful Chalice is the perfect glass, particularly when combined with the Stella Artois pouring ritual that allows the beer to flow, breathe and develop a pristine head. So, not only does the beer taste great it also looks wonderful. Logo brief history The name Artois was coupled to the brewery in 1708, when new owner Sebastian Artois achieved the title of master brewer. The frame that surrounds the name Stella Artois on the label refers to the traditional style of window frame found in Flemish architecture. |
